Payment Terms
In order to book Just School Discos you will be required to pay the full cost in advance. After a short phonecall to confirm your exact requirements, and whether JSD can meet them, you will be emailed a booking contract. You'll then need to reply by email to accept the booking terms, and make full payment for your event within 72 hours.
Once paid, an email confirmation receipt will be sent to you, and your chosen date will show as 'BOOKED OUT' on our 'availability' website page. (For schools and other organisations, an invoice and payment reciept form can also be supplied free of charge).
This may differ from other providers, but more and more services within the entertainment sector are taking this approach.
Why?
Just School Discos has grown enormously since lockdown, with new PTA's and schools coming onboard all the time. Schools love how we run our discos, but more importantly, the children love it too. This means there's never a shortage of enquiries and dates are in high demand. If we only take a small deposit, not only we will lose out if you decide to cancel, another school might lose out because their ideal date was gone. When you pay in full you're committed to the event, and so are we. It's not really any different to when you buy something else online.

Week in and week out you will see social media posts about someone being let down by such a person, often because the time has come for them to perform and they've realised they're ill equipped to do the job.
You can also rest safe in the knowledge that once your booking is made, Just School Discos won't take another booking for that date. Even if you're booking is a one hour event and someone has requested an all day school fete, once you're booked in the date becomes yours, and yours only.

Firstly, DJ80 and Just School Discos is a well established and professional small business which has grown healthily over the course of more than 10 years. This has helped DJ80 develop an understanding of what schools and the children expect from a disco. This is experience you can't buy or shortcut.
Secondly, as a professional business, Just School Discos only uses brand new and safe professional DJ equipment, bought from UK DJ stores. We don't cut costs when it comes to childrens' safety so you'll never see second hand, or unsafe or unfit DJ equipment on your special event.
Thirdly, as with any business that differentiates itself from a hobbyist, there are also unseen overheads. Liability insurance, electrical testing, DBS checks, websites, marketing, administration, music purchasing, uniform and many other day to day costs.
And lastly, there's business profit. On top of covering all the costs, a business can only be successful if it makes a profit. Whereas you might get quoted a smaller fee for a 'friend/dad' cash in hand 'DJ', they most certainly won't have everything mentioned above. By booking Just School Discos you're supporting a small business and the entertainment industry itself.
