Booking a DJ and disco for an event can be daunting.  You want the event to be a success but how do you find the right provider? ​Well if you're reading this - you just have!

SAFETY FIRST
  • The equipment we use is electrically safe. It will have been PAT tested and labelled with a sticker. It will comply with UK electrical safety laws.
  • The DJ will put high visibility hazard tape around the area of the disco equipment so guests, and children in particular, can see where they should not walk/explore.
  • All lighting will use LED's which means there is no hot bulbs/lamps that can be touched accidentally.
  • Volume levels will be closely monitored with the aim of providing a disco atmosphere but not at the cost of damaging hearing. In all cases we'll check with a member of staff at the start of each event.
  • The DJ will have PLI (Public Liability Insurance) which is current and valid.
  • The DJ will be enhanced DBS checked and safe to work with children.
  • The DJ will be wearing a Just School Discos shirt which makes them easily identifiable.

  • A digital contract which fully outlines the terms and conditions of booking. Specifically it confirms all the details of the booking, but more importantly it offers written proof that the booking was agreed and made.
  • Emailed confirmation of monies received.
  • At least one telephone call before the booking to discuss the event and make sure all the bases are covered.
  • In some cases the DJ will visit the school beforehand to check where to set up and that suitable power supply is available.
  • Any questions or issues you wish to discuss will be responded to within 24 hours of contacting justschooldiscos.com, and this will be available from the moment you make the booking right up until the event itself.
A DISCO TO REMEMBER
Our first priority is always safety, which we've covered above. Our second priority is making sure that the children have a disco to remember. Here's how we'll do it:
  • The DJ will play current music that children listen to.
  • All music played will be cleaned versions.
  • All music played will be sourced legally. We will not play directly from Youtube, Spotify or any other music streaming service. They'll be no awkward pauses or waiting for adverts to finish!
  • The DJ will come out onto the dancefloor during certain songs and encourage, lead or direct the children with regards to dance moves (such as Cha Cha Slide by DJ Casper)
  • The DJ will take reasonable requests although music played will be at the DJ's discretion and with a common sense approach.
  • The DJ will make announcements as required and accommodate any ad hoc requests by the organiser during the event.
  • The DJ will be cheerful and treat all the children with a mutual respect.
  • The DJ will encourage the children to sing and dance, and play music/songs suitable for the age range.
  • If there is a rest break scheduled into the event, the DJ will lower the volume and play background music.​

Discounts are provided for multiple bookings in a school year, plus EVERY school which books for the first time will receive a discount. Monday - Thursday bookings are cheaper then Friday - Sunday.
